Dawn
I've put in a bid on a fish on Trade Me, the owner doesn't know what it is so I'm wondering if any of you very knowledgeable people might be able to identify it for me please? He's had it with other Cichlids with no problems so I'm presuming it's a Cichlid also - hence posting in this forum. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Lifestyle/Pets ... 542126.htm
herefishiefishie
Well its an american, but what kind??? The stripe is like that of a synspilum. I like the friendly part wait till it grows up. healthy, nice split caudal fin. will heal easy enough. Frenchy
Dawn
Thank you Frenchy, I've had a look in my Fish Atlas and it might very well be a synspilum. I've asked the person selling it about his caudal fin too.
Ira
Hmmm, hard to say since it's just a baby, may not even look like it would as an adult. But, I'd say synpsilum is a pretty good guess.

Alan
I saw some in Brian's Goldfish Bowl today. He calls them Red-head cichlid, and is giving them away to appreciative customers. Those that wish to pay a contribution towards his feed bill I'm told, will be thanked profusely. Alan
