ragnaroky
Im Tania, 27, from Invercargill by the way this forum looks great spent ages browsing last night and have been keeping fish on and off for 7+ years at one stage I kept a large tank of goldfish a med one of Trops and a large outdoor pond for goldfish breeding, I gave up fish about 2 years ago when I went overseas for about a year but upon returning I started up again about 10 months ago when I managed to get my hands on a cheap aqua one AR620 and have got back into golds (my fish of choice) I dont keep any specific breeds of goldfish I look for fish with personality when buying thus I have a tank full of funny fish who im sure dont think they are fish lol my partner and I have actually been training them and they have picked up on a couple of cute we tricks .... so entertaining I am currently looking at upgrading my tank to an AR850 or AR980 if and when funds allow so it will happen one day but just when I dont know atm my babys have space so they are happy even though as a fish lover of course like most of you when it comes to tanks the bigger the better hehe so patience game atm hehe anyway atm my tank is set up in a black theme to make the colours in the fish pop so a black sand base a black background and it makes the live plants and fish look stunning also matches the decor which helps lol

Caryl
I guess they are worth whatever someone will pay for them. Personally I would not pay that but someone else will

ragnaroky
Hi and welcome Tania. As you know, bigger is better so good luck with the future upgrade 8) What tricks have they learned so far? so far they have lernt to form a tight ball group (there is 10 of them ranging in size) then we touch an area of the glass they all come and get as close to each other as they can Comet my big girl hes lernt to get attention by sucking up huge amounts of gravel and spitting it at the glass the majority of fish also follow movement so if I draw a figure 8 on the glass they follow and currently we are teaching them to sorta wave which is really really cute my old golds that I used to keep my giant girl Jaws used to at feeding time come kiss and hold onto my finger until I put in flakes really simple tricks but it gives entertainment to us and im guessing to the fish as well lol
ragnaroky
I guess they are worth whatever someone will pay for them. Personally I would not pay that but someone else will this is just it $70 is alot for a goldfish all be it this is a fancy breed and im way out of the loop for goldfish prices none of my other babys cost more than $10 lol but mind you I usually pick em small and they grow quick This big fulla has me hypnotised though such a gentle giant
