ryanjury
You can keep other cichlids with discus nice peaceful dwarf cichlids.. But I agree with mystic not the ones you have, I wouldn't keep any fish I liked with ice blues they are nasty buggers (I know they are probably fine now but wait until they grow) and the others get too big and dominant for discus really. That is of course unless you have a huge tank where they all have a chance of having their own space.
phoenix44
only cichlids you would want to have with them are other smaller s. american cichlids - rams, apistos and that sort. perhaps kribs if the tank was large; and other discus, but getting the mix of personalities right with discus is a bit of an exercise... I just sold 2 discus because of compatibility issues.
David R
Depends on tank size, I've seen many large tanks with discus kept with angelfish, severums, geophagus, uaru, parrots (Hoplarchus, not those ugly mutant hybrid things), festivum etc.
k1w1y2k
NO if you Discus and E. yellow prefer totally different PH ranges. Discus ph 6-7, africans such as e. yellows prefer 7.5 8.5 ph
