gamefreek101
I have just been out to shed were fish room will be built and measured out size on floor and cleared space. The measurements will be as follows 3600L 2600W 2280H It will be constructed out of freezer panel with door halfway down the length i will have to go with carpet straight on the concrete as if i make the floor freezer panel the chance of it not holding up to the weight of tanks inside is highly likely . if you have any ideas on this project feel free to share Pictures are to come
Deno
if you are going to carpet, just go to your tanks, not under so you can easily pull the carpet out in case of a spill or overflow....trust me I know
David R
Flag the carpet, either polish the concrete if you're concerned about how it looks or put something like lino down. Sounds like a good sized room for a nice big tank...
ryanjury
Yeah the carpet is a weigh up.. The room is colder without it but it is a real pain when you flood and it stinks. I have carpet and underlay in my room and stuck it all down before the tanks I just cut around the tanks to lift it when it floods. Sometimes I have regretted it but the room is so much warmer than when I had a straight concrete floor. That is a big room Gamefreak how many tanks you planning? This is a long term project and im in no rush to fill it all at once and i dont have enormous amounts of funds so it will start by having a few small tanks maybe 3 just the ones i own at present and the new tank that is being constructed i want to do this once and do it right so alot of thinking will be done before i jump in and do it.
