dbden
Hi all Im looking at revamping my 7 ft planted tank and want to up grade my substrate. Currently using an actisubstrate it has been good for the last year but think its lost its guts as things seem to have slowed down (does say that it lasts seven years thou). Do you think i should change it ? What would be the best substrate on the market? What would be the best DIY mix ? Currently using t8's but going to upgrade to t5's thou. Will be growing vals, swords, sags, glosso, rotala, redpine, xmas moss, java fern and crypts
Bilbo
I have read a bit on Mineralized Soil Substrate and decided to give it a try. Some very good articles on how to make it and it seems almost to good to be true. Virtually free to make and never have to dose ferts.
