Looking for a type of killie...

Clowns are surface dwellers - look nice though.

Poropanchx normani look stunning in a big group - are fairly plain with a iridescent blue patch over the eye, mine swim around in a group mid water.

More colourful non annual specimens would include:

Aphyosemion such as striatum or australe or bitaeniatum

Fundulopanchax such as scheeli or gardneri

Somthing bigger and more colourful would be Fundulopanchax sjoestedti, but a bit hard to come by at the moment.

Of course some of the most stunning are the annuals - Nothobranchius

Knock yourself out here, Hristo's pics are droolworthy!

You missed Jordanella floridae.

Do we have any Terranatos left, or have they all gone?

could of sworn I wrote down the Flags... you didnt edit my post did you Zev?

Your probably best to see what you can get in Christchurch

Ive just sent eggs to a member down there but Im not sure what sort of luck hes been having with them

no, all the Sabre fins have finished now I belive

You never know though as I have been trying som e old peat lately and have managed to hatch a couple of fry from the Constancei.

Alan Wakelin was the last with those so it shows to keep on trying

Be careful mixing the same specie, they may interbreed.

I meant I'll only be getting 1 of those species.

So any pet shops in Christchurch that would ship to Dunedin? Which in Christchurch would be likely to have these, and would they know their scientific name?

it's growing time that I jump on the bandwagon.... I too would like a non-annual for my community tank.

Have I misunderstood that killies like less current? My tank has good current so I won't get any if it's not ideal.

In my 60cmx30x33 tank there are 7 cardinals, 7 peppered cories, 2 oto... so 2 or 3 killies at most.

what I need is a clown killie crossed with a loach to eat my snails 8)

What sort of filter do you have?

Is it the only thing producing the current in your tank?

I have a 400mm cube with a Fluval 104 in it running at about 3/4 flow and my lampeyes don't seem to mind - if I turn it up full bore they just all stick their noses into the current and all point the same way for a while, then they get tired and go hide in a corner...
