Floater Posted February 26, 2010 Report Share Posted February 26, 2010 I'm looking for a type of killie that isn't annual, looks good, and would be ok in a group in a 100L heavily planted tank (and that would breed). I'm not expert but I like the look of these, don't think they're annual and seem to be easy to breed (I got one accidentally in some Riccia). Poropanchx normani look stunning in a big group - are fairly plain with a iridescent blue patch over the eye, mine swim around in a group mid water. More colourful non annual specimens would include: Aphyosemion such as striatum or australe or bitaeniatum Fundulopanchax such as scheeli or gardneri Somthing bigger and more colourful would be Fundulopanchax sjoestedti, but a bit hard to come by at the moment. So any pet shops in Christchurch that would ship to Dunedin? Which in Christchurch would be likely to have these, and would they know their scientific name? I too would like a non-annual for my community tank. Have I misunderstood that killies like less current? My tank has good current so I won't get any if it's not ideal. In my 60cmx30x33 tank there are 7 cardinals, 7 peppered cories, 2 oto... so 2 or 3 killies at most. what I need is a clown killie crossed with a loach to eat my snails 8) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have a 400mm cube with a Fluval 104 in it running at about 3/4 flow and my lampeyes don't seem to mind - if I turn it up full bore they just all stick their noses into the current and all point the same way for a while, then they get tired and go hide in a corner...
