JarrenB
We caught some just after mid day in a local river, the kids (and not so small kids) ran a net under some plants at the water's edge and got quite a few. I've been back since to! I have some in a tropical tank (25'C) they seem fine. (they are not live food) Catch them Put in coldwater tank Slowly warm up over 2-3 days You do lose some but out of about 10, I've still got 8 or so after 4 months. I went to the LFS and tried to get some info out of them about keeping shrimp, they explained its difficult and only last about 6 weeks. BUt told me to give it a go and see how it turns out. They gave me spirulina flakes to feed them. will this work? What do you feed your shrimp? Congrats on keeping them so long 8)

Most likely coming down to Napier this easter, would be keen to get some shrimp for me and a few other Aucklanders 8)
JarrenB
I feed "Aquarian Algae Eater Sinking Chips" "Contains 3 types of algae". It comes in a blue & white plastic bag. But I only put 1-2 chips in a week, as the tank has a lot of natural algae.

Zev
I haven't been back since we had some heavy flooding - they may be all out at sea by now! Pack the ice in the chilly bin...
SamH
Sounds like a plan. Probably up Friday by midday (depending on how fast I drive ) stay Saturday and back down Sunday. I'm guessing Sunday would be the best time to get them? Least amount of time in transport and all.
