N1CK
A loooooooooooong time  , depends on how big all your other fish are. anything about the size of the average tetra will eventually become food

Charlie
aslong as it has a nice big log to hide in it will be happy, being nocturnal it will be a nice addition to your tank. They are wicked fish!
oO SKIPPY Oo
no logs but i have put some rocks together to form some small caves - that should be ok aye ? aslong as it has a nice big log to hide in it will be happy, being nocturnal it will be a nice addition to your tank. Charlie
general rule of thumb, aslong as it covers the fish or it thinks it is covered then it will be happy.
oO SKIPPY Oo
if i get one i might look at getting some old guttering and cover that with sand etc so it blends in to the tank and then it could also use that now where to find one in wlg. Scottie841
You could get a clear tube for him. They think that they are hidden but you can see through it. Another option is to lean a bit of wood up against the front glass and he will hide from the other fish but you will see him all the time
