Didn't boil mine, just chucked them in the tank - well, that's not quite correct, I chopped some of them up smaller and then put them in the tank - water went light tea coloured overnight. Davd-lw Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 actually boiling is only to make it to be extract, if it is not dear in NZ, i would just chuck a few leaves in my tanks. but to get the most of them, i choose to boil, and its up to people, i use a piece of poly board jus a corner, for my fish to build bubble nest. as most of things, you do not know it, untill you try it. Brett1970 Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 I boiled my leaves chucked 3 leaves in pot bought to boil then drained them put the tea back in pot added some fresh water and boiled them again then let them simmer for awhile and the tea came out very dark brown.
