The ones i have seem to leech quite well without doing anything else to them.

Didn't boil mine, just chucked them in the tank - well, that's not quite correct, I chopped some of them up smaller and then put them in the tank - water went light tea coloured overnight. I used approx three leaves in a 54l tank shhhh... no anabantoids in the tank, either...

actually boiling is only to make it to be extract, if it is not dear in NZ, i would just chuck a few leaves in my tanks. but to get the most of them, i choose to boil, and its up to people, i use a piece of poly board jus a corner, for my fish to build bubble nest.

as most of things, you do not know it, untill you try it.

I boiled my leaves chucked 3 leaves in pot bought to boil then drained them put the tea back in pot added some fresh water and boiled them again then let them simmer for awhile and the tea came out very dark brown.

Put the extract in the males tank also put one leaf in one of my frys tank just to see how they react seems fine so far the water colour gone yellow

Thanks again david
