One of my female MG fighters has a fungus on her lip its like a growth never seen it before .

Have removed her from tank and cleaned it she is quarintened might have to get some stuff from pet shop tom.

Sorry to hear that But it sounds like you have a plan One of my guys had white on his lips once, didn't treat it and it seemed to disappear, this is probably different.

fungus as if in white fuzzy stuff? A 20min meth blue bath works if it is (till you cant see the fish) usually from wounds... has she been bred from lately?

Acriflavine works against fungi but it sounds like this could be Columnaris which is a aerobic bacterium (although I can't say for sure without seeing the fish). This infection is often caused by stress so it is a good idea to ensure your water parameters are good and that there is minimal overcrowding.

Columnaris can affect the gills so it is beneficial to aerate the water to ensure good oxygenation. Salt at 1 gram/L can fully treat the condition so if you can manage that, that would be an ideal first mode of treatment. If it gets worse even with salt, broad spectrum antibiotics (like Furan) can be effective as can baths with potassium permanganate and methylene blue. Avoid tetracycline based antibiotics as it treats gram positiv bacteria and columnaris is gram negative.

No she hasnt bred yet she seems to have lost her purple colour will get some melafix from lfs this week give her a dose she eating well though
