I have been told they have successfully bred on more then 3 occasions. How do i stop them..? Matto
you could try to take out the eggs and hatch them yourself.
hayden_steph
How easy is that? We do have a spare tank/heater/filter.. They lay them on a rock in the tank.. Should i just take the rock out and put it in a tank by itself?
Matto
you could put them in another tank with the same water, some meth blue and a air stone .

chillz
Is the meth blue used to stop fungal growth on the eggs??
ryanjury
Sounds like some good advice Just google "raising angelfish eggs" and you will find millions of sites telling you how to do it, Jewels should be the same thing.. You will probably only have to save one batch and you will have more jewels than you would be able to sell/give away in the next year
Babyruby
Also depends if parents are comfortable with their surroundings I have a pair of keyholes that done the same, and always wondered why so started to rearrange their tank and now I have 3 day old baby keyholes.... alanmin4304
When you remove the eggs the parents are not there to clean the eggs and remove the infertile ones. The infertile ones fungus and the meth blue discourages it spreading to the fertile ones. It will stain the tank, particularly the silicone seals.
