Zev
Can you give us a few water test results, ph and the temp of the water as well? Tank size filtratration? Where do you get your water from - I only ask because in some areas when it rains a lot and there is a chance of seepage into the water system the council will add chemicals into the water. spaceman
And get the water from the house tap
MarkLB
How long has the tank been running? A mature tank should have 0.00 Ammonia. I'd do another water change to bring that down some more.
dat1
Didn't mention if you have an air pump or if the temps have been stable.

MarkLB
Hi spaceman. How often do you do water changes? How can i get rid of the ammonia? With water changes is there a fin rot disease they could have? Yes, usually caused by imperfect water conditions but often easily fixed. MarkLB
Hi. You could increase the water changes perhaps. I try to do a 30%+ every week. What's the 'treatment' you add? The Melafix will help

MarkLB
stress coat and stress zyme If you want to ease the strain on your wallet you can stop using these. I never do. We're extremely lucky in Christchurch, our water is the best in the country IMO
