BikBok
if my guppy is headstanding some of the time but swimming around normally and eating the rest of the time.. is it still a swim bladder problem. The last few days I have seen her vertical in various levels/parts of the tank but she's not like that the whole day. What shall I do with her? BikBok
so what do I do for her? the meds I have on hand are Furan2, meth blue, acriflavine, tonic salt.
BikBok
I will QT her of course, because the two males I have are constantly mating her even though there are other females to choose. She needs a break!
jim r
It could be a bacterial infection.
BikBok
so furan 2?
jim r
I think this might help, however I also think you shoud check your water quality.
BikBok
water quality is ok..nitrates might be a bit high 20 ppm - i check it every 7-10 days becuase my tank is only about 6 months old. She is my piggiest guppy - can this be part of the problem? She will even steal the kuhli and BN food i put down.
BikBok
well I haven't used furan yet, i gave her an epsom salt bath and she seems to be doing better today. Not vertical but not swimming completely normal either. Might give her another bath.
