morfin
Hi, my boy blue ram has suddenly become the size of a barrel. Happened over the last two days, isn't from food as they have only been fed once in that time. usually fed every second day, alternating two times feed of flake then one of blood worm with sinking pellets for the bottom feeders. Today though his stomach is very distended and from front on he looks like a barrel. Water params are ammonia 0, nitrite 0 and nitrate 10. Did a 50% water change , 210 litre tank at 27 degrees community tank with 2 angels, lemon tetras, black phantoms, bristles and cory cats. Scales don't seem to be sticking out other than they look very tight due to size. Any suggestions as to what I can do would be very much appreciated, I don't want to lose him. He is approx 12 months old. Looks like he is going for food but didn't eat when I fed tonight. Seems to be out and about, but top fin is down.a little
Nymox
I dont know a hell of a lot about anything like this, but I hear lots that bloodworms should be a treat rather then the main food source, perhaps its some kind of blockage or constipation? Have you tried giving it some pea? squash it out of the shell and give him that see if he takes it, apparently they help with things like this some times. Hopefully a guru will be able to give you some real advice soon
