angel obsessed
Hi, I got him the other day and it was sold as a delta tail. I am new to fighters so just want to make sure this is right.
SamH
Looks like a delta, full flaring shot is needed.
angel obsessed
thanks how exactly do I get him to flare? Put a mirror in there? lol, forgive me, I want to try breed them as Ive successfully bred angels but dont know much about them. Like, do I breed delta to delta or can you breed different types together?
N1CK
If you have a girl, stick her in a container and he will flare at her or a mirror, Deltas, super deltas and Halfmoons are all extensions of the same tail type so would be best to breed together also dont breed deltas with veil tails as veil tails are dominant over other tail types
angel obsessed
forgive the bad picture but the best I could get of him flaring at his reflection
Discusguru
A delta it is and watch the feeding. Over feeding will make the fighter sick and eventually die.
angel obsessed
thank you very much And will do, I currently feed him a few frozen bloodworms once a day.
Discusguru
2 defrosted bloodworm will be enough.
SamH
Like, do I breed delta to delta or can you breed different types together? You can breed any Betta splendens with any other Betta splendens, tail type is just a variety, not another species. It's favourable to have more pure fish with better defined tail types, colours, shape, etc. If it were me, I'd breed to a Halfmoon (HM), Super Delta, Delta or Plakat (PK) shortfinned.
