kiwiplymouth
Trout pallets are great for most omnivorous catfish and can be purchased cheap on trademe. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 416137.htm If you are after bulk algae disks then ask this guy for a bulk deal, I got a few kilo of him a while back at a very good price http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 582119.htm
Guest
Go to hutt Pets and get some trout pellets. They're great for all types of fish if you crush them up (which if really easy) plus they're REALLY cheap. They're only $4.50 for a 1kg bag
Zayne
do trout pellets sink as well?
kiwiplymouth
do trout pellets sink as well? yep. They are best feed to bottom feeders like catfish, corys, whiptails, eels, birchers, loaches etc. Larger fish like oscars love them too but lose heaps of it thru their gills and really mess up the water. Simian
I agree, I'm a new convert to trout pellets. I have just raised a batch of BN on them exclusively and had fantastic growth and no casualties I can see, waaay better than zucchini IMO. Cheaper and less mess and hassal
David R
I was going to make a post here about a bulk purchase of Hikari products, but unfortunately there's rules against it so Henward and I just went halves....
