dreams
Hey guys I currently have a pressurized CO2 line running into a plastic gange valve which splits the line into 2 planted tanks. One tank is using a ceramic glass diffuser and the other tank has the line running into a powerhead. To adjust the CO2 going into each tank i use the taps on the gange valve. The problem is that i will tweak the amount of Co2 going into each tank one day and have it all fine, but over time i.e. 2 -3 days it seems to adjust its self, so that either the tank with the diffuser stops putting out Co2 and the other tank will have tonnes of CO2 going into it or Vice versa. This is really starting to stress out my fish with the extreme CO2 levels when im not around to notice this. Do you guys have any ideas on why this is happening? Or a effective solution to fix this problem? Thanks
HaNs
Get a better valve and splitter
Zev
You will possibly need manifold splitter with a needle valve on each, the plastic gang valve may deteriorate over time, as Co2 is rather corrosive to some plastics, and as you have found, the pressure of one is dependent on the other. I do not know if you can get these in NZ.
