paul_r
think it depends on their temperment, a friend has 2 (unsure on sex) in his community tank and they get along fine. i had 3 jewels only in my 4 footer and ended up that the male killed the 2 females very neat fish though, they were my favs. id get more if i didnt have a bad experience with mine
Mel
i love jewels, they are so nice - I don't find ours get that aggro but they do know how to take care of themselves. We have ours in a mixed african tank - however the only fish they do have fights with is my convicts, so I proberly wouldn't suggest convicts as tank mates You could try - electric yellows, dolphins

REEVESTA
Yay! Just got them and they are beautiful. They are boy and girl, and just layed eggs yesterday in the previous owners tank. Im getting the pair of convicts on Wednesday or Thursday and they are 8cm and 5cm. Im going to put another pipe in when i get the convicts so there should be no fighting over territory so it should work out. The tank the jelwels came from had a fully growen breeing pair of convicts in it, they were huge!
