Simulating moonlight?

There's a blue led nightlight that I've seen a couple times at the warehouse and similar that seems to work nicely and only costs a couple bucks. Moonlights are purely aesthetic anyway, so why pay $50 for a "Proper" aquarium moonlight?

Juss get a Marine-glo or Blue Moon tube for yur tank. :-) Thats wat we have on ours, it makes a HUGE difference!

I second mystic on that one, though you could go the whole hog and buy a giesemann set up which has programmable moonphase lights I understand (used mostly for saltwater setups). Im sure thats overkill for what you want.

IRA - can you remember any more about the warehouse option you suggested ?
