imsweet
Hi all, have had a glowlight that lost it's eye a while back but didnt think much of it. Now i have another, it's quite concave where the eye was. Obviously a slight problem here but theyre in 2 different tanks. 1st was in a comm tank but 2nd was in a tetra only tank. What could be doing this?
LYNDYLOO
Would be good to know what you have in the Community Tank and what other Tetras you have in your Tetra only Tank. Might help with giving us some idea as to who is doing this. The eye socket will heal over in time, just keep an eye on it incase it starts getting some sort of infection in it, if this happens you will have to medicate to control this. Good Luck. imsweet
comm tank: neons, glowlights, pearl gouramis, 3 spot gouramis, bristlenoses,3 harlequin rasboras, 2 kribs. tetra only tank: 5 glowlights thanks
LYNDYLOO
I'm thinking the Kribs maybe the Culprits, they can be aggressive at times, especially if they are breeding. Do you have a pair of Kribs or only one?? So the next question is are they breeding?? Not sure I know the answer to your Glo Light loosing his/her eye if thats the only Fish you have in that Tank. imsweet
2 male kribs, they keep to a side of the tank each and pretty much keep to themselves too. only seen them push the bristlenoses around. ... bit strange having it happen in a tetra only tank but i thought it might be a kind of disease? the one in the comm tank is getting around fine, just slightly sideways. LYNDYLOO
They can survive with only one eye, just doesn't look the nicest for us to look at.
