kwanzaa
I have a small tank of 60L, which is heavily planted, containing one discus and some Rummy-nose Tetras. The Discus has been healthy for the last 2 years. In the last 2 days he has developed fungal growths over both his eyes and is moping around the bottom of the tank. If anyone could suggest possible treatments I would be very grateful. Preferably something that doesnt adversely affect my plants Thanks

Discusguru
Blurr or fuzzy eye usually is cause by bad water condition especially in heavily planted tank. Discus need premium quality water and it's impossible to get that in a small planted tank. Big water change at least 3 times a week usually fix the problem otherwise you'll have to treat with Furan2. ron
DAuckland
same as ron....for easy treat...place him to another small clinical tank, action 1: recomemded 100% water change daily...or action 2: same as ron...cheers

phoenix44
good advice as said above. use some stress coat too if you have some. it is very very effective, and helps heaps in such cases in my experience. best of luck, and do let us know how the treatment progresses. kwanzaa
Hey Guys, Thanks for all the good advice. The fish is swimming around now and ate a small amount of bloodworms this morning. The eyes are still slightly cloudy but the problem appears to be dissipating. I treated with doses of Aquarium salt and stress coat plus. I have also carried regular large water changes. DAuckland
hi...please do not feed bloodworm at the moment....just feed dry fish Granules.......do more water change first...you feed bloodworm after few days
