:D Just got back from the Show. It was Great !!!! :D

To Kim (Head Judge) - thanks for taking charge and leading the Team. Despite a couple of curve balls you kept everything from falling apart.

Thank you to all the Judges who worked so hard to do a fantastic job - when the going got tough - you kept going, and going, and going. Thanks

To the Organisers - Thank you - it was a great weekend, a great show, and great fun. Look forward to the next one......

To the Entrants - Thank you - all the rest of us would have been useless with out your support, and your fish of course.

Hope that all those who attended had a great time, I know I did. :D

Erling and I have arrived back to the Bayof Plenty safely

Ditto the above.

Great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

We did an escort of some Aucklanders to Taupo

WARNING

Please check your gas tank before returning home.

It can make the trip quite a bit longer.

My fish have all been returned to their respective homes.

Roll on the next show.

A birdie whispered in my ear, that a certain person  that said they would have approximately 3000 visitors

was bang on, well, near enough.

Good work team. :)

thank you Kevin and Warren for asking me to be head judge it was great!!

as i said i had a great team of judges that worked as a team and i would happily judge with anyone of you again!

you all worked hard and well and at the end of a very long day the best fish won, you all need a pat on the back!! (pat pat)

as that was the first show that i know of that they didn't have a protest.

and as Kevin said without everyone that entered we wouldn't have had a show so THANKS!

sadly one fish didn't make it Rob's dwarf loach.

thanks to everyone for a great weekend and it was great meeting everyone and catching up with some old friends

Thanks for all those people that made it such a great weekend. We could all see the hard work that went into organising such an event and I guess a lot more work that we wouldnt see! Hubby was very pleased to get the trophy for the Best Catfish as this one fish is his 'baby'. For a guy that has only been into fish keeping for two years I am very proud of his effort and the work he puts into the fish. If we all work hard then we will get rewards ah? Once again congrats to all involved and the other winners.

Thanks to the judges from me as well. It appears I overdid it a bit, burning the candle at too many ends. On Monday morning I woke up with the Bot and have pretty much slept solidly since. That'll teach me to be better organised for next year.

It was an excellent event, but only because of the participation of the Exhibitors, the Judges, Clubs, Sponsors and the public. A great effort was also put in by the Hawkes Bay Aquarium Society. It usually falls to a few to do just about everything and my thanks go out to those who spent their entire weekend helping out. The judges did an awesome job. I had no idea it would take so much effort to get everything done. Having never been involved in that side of the show before I didn't know what to expect. Next time we'll be much better prepared.

Thanks also to the Marlborough club who turned up without being asked at closing time and volunteered to help pack the show up.

Finally, thanks to the Seahorse Farm for donating us the venue.

My thanks to everyone involved, it was a great weekend.

Now that you do know how much work is involved in organising something this big perhaps it would be possible to parcel out some jobs to other clubs - I am sure many would be willing. I was thinking of things like the Marlborough club helping pack up - that was a great thought and something I hadn't even thought about. And I don't know what is involved although I could see there was a huge amount of organisation involved ..... so I don't know what, if anything, could be shared with other clubs, but maybe its worth thinking about.

Cheers

Jude (who would love to see another show in Napier real soon)

Hi to everyone involved with the Fish Show and Expo,it was really great.

First time that Rex and I have entered a show like this. We learnt a great deal.

It would be great to have something like this at least every two years.

Well done Warren, the Hawkes Bay Aquarium Society, the Judges and all the entrants.

Good Show.

Rex and Sue

The bouquets could go on for ever - but every one is deserved - it was an awesome weekend. Far exceeded my expectations. I too like the idea of one every couple of years as I suspect with all the organsising required, a year would turn up too soon for most and I'd hate to see it all fall over because no one is (or too few are) willing to put their neck on the line and do the hard yards.

Warren and Co - you were simply amazing. If nothing else is learned from this event, let it be delegation, delegation, delegation.

:D
