ryanjury
lol you are going to produce more babies than you will know what to do with.. There are a few of us looking for quality apisto species in NZ at the moment but doesn't seem to be too much around, its a shame that these hybrid steel blues keep coming in as borelli That link you posted was for Apistogramma steindachneri which is nothing like steel blues? Plenty of info around on them though.. http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q= ... =&aq=f&oq=

silver-foxx
I have a tank set up with 1 male & 2 female steel blues and both female's have free swimming fry as from yesterday. Each has taken up a back corner with there fry. At first I though one was dashing over to the other & eating one of her offspring, then dashing back to her corner...but having left them to it all day I can now see what she has been up to by the size of her 'brood' compared to the others. She has been stealing the others fry & including them with her's...now has a swarm of fry at least twice the size of her 'friend' I wonder if by tomorrow the poor female will be 'fry less ' Lots of fun.
