Platy rubbing itself against glass/driftwood

Does he have internal parasites? I remember reading somewhere that the rubbing meant they had parasites. Nothing wrong with him on the outside, eating well and not hassling other fish.

Only just noticed the behaviour tonight as well.

Water parameters are fine.

If it is flicking off objects it is usually an external parasite anoying them (whitespot, velvet, skin flukes) look for signs of these. Best way is in the dark with a torch.

It's not a quick flick, it's a full on swim against, for a second or so. I'll have a check for external parasites tonight :)
