Hey guys, looked on sites about US catfish stock and stuff, and compared to us they rock, our variety sucks, just wondering if anyone knows if we can get catfishes larger than a syno that isnt a plec? i find that catfishes make interesting pets but i was just looking 4 something a bit more exotic

there are a few bigger species around but they aren't readily available

Are there any out in the wild that some idiot has released?

And there are Brown bullheads around in the rivers, but i think its illegal to keep them

haha, go to all the lfs and buy all the pictus cats and if your lucky, one will out grow the others

but theres a couple biggies floating about, and as far as i know, the owners would rather eat rat poison than part with their big cats.

heard many a times of someone here in auckland with shovelnoses came in accidentally under a diff name etc???

there's more than just a couple shovelnoses in NZ... much more than just a couple... its just all very hush hush that's all... (for good reason too) :bounce:
