Fishbeme
Hi all I have a lovely breeding pair of Angels that constantly eat every spawn. They have been doing this now for months. I took the eggs away once and raised them myself so I know that the parents are fertile and male/female  Will they ever successfully raise their eggs to fry? Or should I give up hoping now because this has been going on for months? Thanks
TM
Couple of things to try could be, Feed small amount of good food more often Place a bit of wire mesh about 10mm out from the eggs, just so they can see them and fan them but can't eat them. Keep a night light on, more so when there is fry
Fishbeme
Hey great idea about the mesh, thank you I will try that. And when you say 'good food', do you have any to recommend? My Angels are feed on normal to average tropical fish flake and occasional fish crumble brought from the lfs.
TM
Good food, i really mean mix it up. Blood worm, white worm, tetra flake, brine shrimp, ox heart. IMO flake and crumble are fine but you want the best for breeding. They may be eating the eggs because they are missing out on something in there diet. My thought anyway. Can't hurt to try. alanmin4304
If you remove the eggs there is no way they can eat them.

I really don't have the time to raise the eggs myself at the moment. I would just love to see the parents do it
alanmin4304
It is no more work to take them away as you have to feed them either if you want to raise more than 2.
