Guest
Hi guys, With the divided tanks do you need a heater in every compartment or just on the outside ones? I'm talking about the ones with no holes that connect each compartment. Is it better to have a heater in each part (otherwise the temperature would change quite a but wouldn't it?) Guest
I'm thinikng 4 compartments of 20 by 40 by 40 cms and it will be pretty cold in winter and night as it's outside in a shed. Would it be best to have heaters in each compartment?
TM
I had one with 5, the heater was in the middle with a temp of 27, the next 25 and then outside one 22. It was out in my garage also. If you could get a bit of flow between them then that would be best. Or look at a heat pad. What fish were going in there
alanmin4304
I have a four foot tank divided into 6 sections and heated with a heat pad under the tank---works well
Guest
Do you think I could have the heaters on the 2 outside compartments and that'd heat the inside ones?
alanmin4304
You could but only experience will show what the temperature difference will be.
Jfishfanatic
You could get a spray bar filter. Spraying warmer water into the further compartments.
alanmin4304
That would empty one and overfill the other.
