curtur
Both pairs of my dwarf flag acaras (laetacara curviceps) have spawned today, but I am unsure as to whether I should keep doing my weekly water changes or not. Would it be detrimental to the health of the eggs and fry? I usually change 15-20% every week.
dimebag
personally i would leave it for a few days until the eggs have hatched. then resume water changes, but do them slowly so as not to shock the fry.
freestatedon
Hi - What I do is leave the fry for at least a week to avoid too much disturbance, and then siphon water out with a handkerchief or a stocking over the end to stop any babies being sucked up. The gravel simply needs to be left until they are much larger. Also, for filtration, I cover the whole filter with a stocking until the fry are large enough to avoid being devoured by the filter (stockings come in very handy actually, though buying them yourself is not an option...).
