Elaine
People bowing to your expertise. My 9 week old bearded dragon was scarthing at the bottom of her tank tonight? why would this be? She is on glass on 3/4 of the surface, with one 1/4 been covered in sand courtesy of Rockwork (when they came and instaled my amazing wall!!). My other problem/problems is that a) she is not a very good vege eater and b) the one thing she does like wax moth lavae will not be in till nex t week. MY QUESTIONS TO YOU ARE" 1/ will she eat her veges if nothing else available, I did do the baby food as you suggested livingart, not sure it is eating it. 2/ if not what should i try her on as the meal worms don't seem to be a hit.\ 3/ weighed her/him yesterdsay at 12g??? is this ok for a 9 week old, your advise chilli, livingart, Rockwork, Mincie, Repto any all the other please. FIRST TIME OWNER HERE AND SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chilli
remember waxworms are there yummy treat like chocolate its high in fat and all dragons love them so it okay if you ran out of them, im trying to have crickets or locust as much as posible for iris but i ran out so he on mealies till order arrives (i hand feed whisper to get her to eat but because i hand feed her she lazy when it comes to her veg) (i do make her run for the crickets tho, other wise im her 100% slave  ) do you leave the veggies in her tank or just put her in feeding tank cause when i got iris i put him in feeding tank but he didnt eat(i think he was scared)so all the food goes in big tank i throw in dustest bugs in morning till he stop eating then about an hour later i spray him and ad salad after lunch i offer more bugs(sometimes he eats sometimes not)then later i change salad coz its all dried up and offer few mor bug around 7(sometimes eats) i add dandilions too i put the stick end under a rock and let him tug petals off, never seen him eat it but flowers get eaten
Sweetysmum
Hi guys, first time beardie owner here as well. My baby is about 14-1/2 weeks old and I have had him since he was about 5-1/2 weeks. He has a really good appetite and i try and try with his veges and salad but he is just not interested. Only the occassional bit that gets caught up with a wax worm will go down the hatch and even then he tries to shake it off. He should be eating his salad by now too. I move it around and all kinds of things, but still no luck. Its god to hear he isnt the only one though. Just not sure what to try next though. repto
try also to make your salad interesting with plenty of different colours(grated carrot, whole kernel corn, dandelion flowers, unsprayed rose petals, nasturtium flowers etc etc.just make it in a bowl and renew it often.I have a big lot in the fridge and just put a portion out give it a mist and place it in the cool end, helps it last a bit longer. Insect Direct
dont stress theyre fearly hardy reptiles beleave it or not feed less waxmoth - best feeders are roaches then crickets, locusts mealworms waxmoth treat only as repto said with salad make up enough for 2-3days put in zip lock bag in fridge (make every day if you desire - fresh is best and not so bad for the one dragon. also remove at night or mid avo if always there just becomes part of furniture. same with livefood if mine dont eat out it comes - leafy greens - nasturtian, mustard, clover are what i use as staple along with squash (blended), parsley, nasturtian mustard and dandilion flowers and carrot every now and then (about once eveyr 2 wks for carrot). also add beans, peas every so often weight will vary if he/she looks semi plump id be happy. less livefood maybe encourages the greens to be eaten more - also i drop greens onto dish normally the movement gets them going - dropd a nasturtian flower in the other day and 4 babies went nato on it - made me proud lol  one of my babies ate greens of kebab stick at about 3 days old temp will also play a big part on appetite, dont worry though some dragons will just take time and will eat more an more greens with age. re digging if its got a place to hide and the cool end of the tank is ok then i wouldnt worry but thats just me. all above just my opinion still learning every day
