It looks worse than the pics can show The only way I can describe it is- it's looks like he's been shot and left to fester in steamy jungle. I've removed the corys to my quarantine tank and done 25% water change and added good dose of tonic salt. What is it? and How do I cure it? Catfish Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 Is there any other fish in the tank that could have attacked him? Is it possible he could have hit his head or been caught on something? My other guess would be Lateral Line Erosion aka Hole in the Head. Usually caused by poor diet. Does he get a good variety of food? He could be lacking essential vitamins like A and C. Frequent partial water changes can help too and good filtration.
