gunnstack
Hi- has anyone in NZ successfully bred either of these fish and if so under what conditions? I have had Dwarf Loaches obviously preparing to mate and I was pretty sure they had spawned but in a communal tank it was impossible to tell if they had any success, if they had the results would have been eaten. Similarly with the Chocolate Gourami's I knew I had a mating pair but I had no breeding tank at the time so could not duplicate the right conditions without causing stress. The tank at the time was at neutral Ph, hardness I wouldnt have a clue, no additional fertliser or additives. I am aware that both are very hard to breed- why it occured in a communal tank I don't know, conditions must obviously have been right at the time. Any advice appreciated. Regards Gordon.
