Finny
Hi everyone, my goldfish are one year old mostly. Maybe I should've posted here for my queries but I posted in coldwater section because my fish has a single wart or cist on it's the front of its dorsal. http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq61 ... ollage.jpg Does this look familiar to anyone? Caper
Nope, personally I can't say I have seen this before but maybe someone else has. Have you checked your water parameters? How long has this "thing" been on the fish? Is it the only fish with it and does it just have the one? Caper
Finny
oh hi again Caper and thanks again I noticed it when I pulled her out of the pond less than a week ago. It looked like a bubble bursting with some kind of frill or spore coming out of the bubble, in 24 hours it had settled down to just being a lump again, and it's still there. She's quarantined while I take stock of what's going on. She suffered from breeding season in the pond, and I think this is why she's lost scales on her sides too. I hope that's right, anyway. A fungal problem that bad could be devastating. Disconcerting, but fungal or parasitic? or something else? has her dorsal fin ben damaged? I don't know much about what she looked like before, but it seems short to that point. They're all in new tanks fresh and refreshed water now. With a few plants and more on the way. I transferred them carefully and they all seem happy enough.
