ryanjury
Max captive size is 25-30cm's I have seen a male that big but he was very old.. I guess you could slowly adjust them to any water conditions don't know how well they would do but most fish are quite hardy.. What were you planning on keeping them with? Are they aprof's ones you're talking about?

smidey
they may be aprophs  , was thinking with aro and bichirs you'll mix anything a? i bet you'd chuck a croc in there if you could get your hands on one
ryanjury
Anything is possible.. I don't think they're overly aggressive however they have been known to eat other fishes eyes out.. I know your other fish are going to be big enough not to be a mouthful, my main concern would be are they fast enough to get away from an adult comp without being harmed if one does get cranky? Tropheus
Hi Try this site for info re ph etc plus theres alot of other sites on the net that will help you. D. Comps have a bad reputation but are really just pussy cats. Any fish that can find something to eat that will fit into his month will eat it. Ive have a colony of full grown D.Comps with some various juvs of 3cm plus and dont have a problem. If you looking for a problem get yourself a Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/s ... hp?id=1062
