Elaine
went with the booklet that came with the tank and measured myself.
mac
Right so it is defiantly a 250lt tank. Okay you could keep quite a lot of fish in that. I would think about what you want to do. You might want a Asian theme tank with Asian fish only. Or a South American Bio-type. It all depends on what type of fish you want. Also you might just want a lot of colorful fish, or a natural looking tank with fish. mac
phoenix44
First you need plants. One can NEVER have enough plants. Ever. Then once that is nicely set up; you can get some fish to match those plants. :bounce: Hatchets look really nice in a planted tank. so do cardinals and rummy noses. Peaceful cichlids like rams and orange chromides add a dash of colour, and they love planted tanks. I can imagine the tank in my head - if only there was a way i could put it on here..... mac
Yes plants are mega important. But it all depends on whether he wants a bio-type tan or not. Or just a simple tank with plants and fish. I find that a tank that is medianly planted and stocked with a plan and theme looks much better just a glass box with water gravel fish and plants. mac
Guest
If you want dwarf cichlids you should get dwarf flag cichlids, cockatoos cichlids, gold rams, blue rams, kribs and bolivian rams. I just got some dwarf flags and cockatoo cichlids this afternoon, it's a shame you couldn't see them while you were here this morning. I also have to agree with phoenix44, you can never have too many plants.
