museeumchick
so my frogs seem to have settled in well so far, only one of them is far less active than the other, and doesnt seem to have eaaten as much. Is this just a personality thing and not worth worrying about yet (ie just keep and eye on him)? or is there something i can do as a general pick me up for him? I cant see any real problems with the environment i dont think, no fungussey bits But I am struggleing with drainage and some of my moss is dieing - im working on that though and should have it sorted soon. am i just worrying over nothing?? :-? spoon
i wouldnt be too worried . id liken them to cats some will come running if u shake the bikkie box even if they have already eaten others wont even bat an eyelid 2 busy relaxing . the active 1 probably just has an appetite , frogs dont do heaps unless they are hunting or going in between water and land. they can also go a long time without eating much and tend to be even lazier when they are well fed! Charlie
when i kept frogs, i used to hold a worm infront of their mouths for a few secs. They would take it then that would them be filled for 3 or so days.
museeumchick
Thanks guys they are both reasonably active (excellent pets) with climbing up under the lamp to sunbathe then off for a swim then catchin flies its just that one seems more reserved than the other - prob just trying to worry me - contrary pets are like that. thanks again
freddy
My two green & gold bell frogs have different personalities. Although they are both out in view a lot of the time, I have never seen one of them physically eat. It must be eating coz it's getting bigger every time I see it. I'm guessing it's just naturally shy or something??!! The other frog leaps all over the place and smacks itself onto the glass panels chasing flys all the time. The other one obviously chooses to eat at night (although this type of frog isn't nocturnal). As long as there is plenty of food available (so the quite one doesn't miss out) I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
