Whiskeysgirl
in my dwarf honey gourami? Noticed tonight that fishie is staying up in the top corner of the tank, other fish seem happy enough to leave it alone up there.....but has a 'blister' like appearance behind/over the eye. I guess that it's popeye, and i gather that Furan is the way to go...? Any advice on what size tank to isolate in for treatment as i hear furan is quite costly? Shouldthe whole tank be treated? as it is a bacteria? or does it only affect a fish that has had some kind of trauma? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to do the best for fishie
Adrienne
one eye - probably an injury and will most likely heal itself two eyes could be bacteria. Keep the tank clean, daily water changes and if no improvement after 2-3 days try medicating. Normally it clears up by itself.
