imsweet
Cleaned out the pond today and 5 of the 6 paradise fish i brought before winter have survived. One of the males clearly has an injury to his back and has a white fluff ball on the dorsal fin. His fin almost looks gone. I have netted him out and dabbed meth blue on it as this is all i have to use. Q= should i keep treating with this? I found some wunder cure in the cupboard, should i use this too? Is it ok too keep injured one with the rest or should i seperate? Unlucky to have 4 males and 1 female... should i look at placing 3 of the males in seperate ponds? thanks. Caryl
I would keep him separate to stop possible harrassment from the others. The fungus is a result of secondary infection from an underlying wound. Keep the water conditions as good as you can and treat the fungal infection. I think you might find if you can gently knock off the fungus, the original wound underneath may already be improving.
