Matto Posted August 20, 2008 Report Share Posted August 20, 2008 i have tried to breed my crown tail male and a female for a few weeks and had no success i have put my female back into my big tank she has been in there for 2 weeks and i left my male in my 20 litre tank and i have been feeding them blood worm every day when should i try breeding them again ? or should i try a different female? please help me ! Adrienne Posted August 20, 2008 Report Share Posted August 20, 2008 Is the male blowing nests? Is he interested at all in the female. Is she smaller in body size than him. The prime breeding age for them seems to be around 6 months (others may disagree). I find by the time they are about 9-10 months nothing much seems to happen. I don't know how old imports are but I would think by the length of fins and tail that they are around the 6 months at least by the time they get into the country and out of quarantine. Matto Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 20, 2008 my male has made a nest when she was in there should i try the pair again ? by the way she is in the big tank now i am getting another tank from a mate this weekend and i am going to separate it so i can breed my two pairs so will they spawn if they can see each other?
