TM
I have been using a method suggested by Barrie. Im sure he is not the only one that does this. My question is how long could i leave the eggs in the peat, could you collected eggs for a week or two and then hatch two weeks later so you get larger batches? Any info would be great
Barrie
normally you can incubate for an extra week or 2 but for most common NZ specie, collect for a week then store for another 2 weeks... maybe 3 With some (Gardneri Blues and Scheeli) I can sometimes collect 50 to 100 eggs in a few days so do you really need more fry than that? TM
Would leaving them longer cause any problems?
Barrie
I would guess that they would end up dieing in the shell so to speak. Best thing is to try it and write a bit on it in the Killi mag?... I would be keen on finding out
