melrick1 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 I have what I think is a male red whip tail. Was thinking of having a go at breeding this type of fish along with my other cat fish. Have a general understanding of how they will breed and what not but is always good to get advice from those who have experience will need a female if anyone knows of any also cheers guys!!! mr pleco Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 if you are talking about the L10a then requirements are temp 82 ph 6.8 small current usually from airstone but can have powerhead tubes openended about 12-16 mm in diameter remove female or tube after breeding as females are prolific egg eaters HTH mr pleco p.s have seen these again in shops recently looks like there may be some females present , males have hairy ordontoles females do not Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
