antznz Posted July 28, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 28, 2008 the fry hatched this morning...unsure when to take him out fry seem to be dropping out of the nest most of the day how can you really tell if there are FREE swimming as yet? this is the 3RD day since he spawned. mumzy50 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 Here's a easy way to do it.A container as suggested.A piece of bread.Wet one side with water,not soggy just wet.A pinch of yeast sprinkled on top.Put culture on it.Place on tank.In three days you should see them starting to move up sides.Some people put them in their boiler cupboards.They need a bit of heat to thrive.If to cold culture will not take off.When the bread is nearly gone place another wet piece of bread on top no yeast as there will be enough in there.Best to have a couple of cultures going at the same time.
