well, so far all nine of them are growing pretty fast and getting bigger everyday! (sorry for the poor shot, but they're in a tank with heaps of sag and anubias and my camera was low on battery so i had to settle with this shot....)

not yet, but ive been conditioning up my females, and am about to do a nice water change today. so fingers crossed i guess.

ive been feeding them crushed spirulina, tropigro for cichlids, shrimp pellets, freezedried tubifex worms, color bits and for when im away for longer periods of time- algae wafers!

:o I have only ever heard horror stories about feeding tropheus meat based foods including shrimp pellets and tubifex and would probably stay away from colour bits as well..

That is just me and if its working for you then you must be lucky or the info is wrong obviously your doing something right for them to breed etc, but just keep it in mind as bloat is a killer and will wipe them out pretty quick..

yeah i must admit i've never fed standard flake. or any red meats.

soz i should have made it clearer b4, that food mix was esp for my fry not the adults, they only get spirulina flake, pellets and algae wafers with occasionally treats of mysis shrimp.

:bounce: Hey thats sweet if its working for you aye, I believe that people on cichlid forum feed their fry up like heaps but ease off before they get sub adultish I think :-? I have been told not to feed Color Bits by Shelley and Craig that are in Aussie now. I did an experiment though with some flake on 1 of my males and he didnt get bloat at all whilst on it. You also I think can get away with feeding regular flake to adults if they have had it since fry too as there a couple of examples out there.

 The main thing is its working dont change nothin :D
