cichlid7
i would not go any less than 600 x 450 x 450mm
Afrikan
Ours have spawned in a 600 long tank (however, can't recall the width or height), we just placed a breeding cone in on bare bottom and the discus were comfortable enough to spawn no problems... they definately seemed happy enough. Discusguru
Should be OK to breed that tank. ron

Afrikan
Sponge filter, bare bottom tank, breeding cone or just let them spawn on the tank side if desired, heater, well thats we had, others may do things differently, we also had a stocking full of aquarium peat in tank. Some people have potted plants in their tank also. HTH
Discusguru
BB tank with a heater in it set at 28 deg. Sponge filter if you want or do water change. A spawning cone (optional) or they will spawn on the glass. ron

lorrainel
this might be an odd question but how do u STOP a discus from spawning/spawning behaviours? the discus in my tank have all gone nuts they're fighting all the time and doing the shimmery things its really getting bad they are beating each other up i dunno how to stop them i already separated on this afternoon but then the others left behind just keep going at each other what do i do?!
