I use the end of a cheap bread knife but since I lost all them in my fishroom I have started using eftpos cards :) Anything thin and rigid works well.. And I tend not to use sharp things just in case I stuff up and stab the fish..

lol thanks yeah I love the dem's I think they will get their own tank eventually and ill just leave them to it and pull the tank down a few time a year to pull out babies...

The baenshi and jacob were similair in those pics there are differences now though I was a little worried when they first started colouring up, however they came from good sources so didn't really have anything to be concerned about.

That is a maleri red that came in on the list maybe 2-3 years back I brought 6 babies off a guy and grew them out ended up with 5m 1f that one came out redder than the rest so I kept him lost the female but have found one so hoping to get them breeding :)

Ruben's reds are line bred maleri reds so hoping this guy will produce nice red babies only time will tell :)

Yeah I love the little guys :) I am soo tempted to keep all the babies and get a massive colony lol But everyone always pm's and I sell them all I am slowly adding a few each spawn and the colony is building up :)

Some times you need to take care of your own needs first  I think it is a great idea to get a huge colony, as we have seen they do better in larger numbers ! :bounce:

I do have 14 or so in my colony and they're doing well none are getting beaten or anything so I don't mind if they weren't doing well id keep more, im keen to try and find some unrelated ones to add at some stage :) Im adding 4-5 each spawn and going to stop around 30-40 of them maybe seperate out some males who knows.
