robbert Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 I lost my Datnoid yesterday, He was swimming sideways and up top the day before that so i did a water change and he started looking a little better, came back next morning and was dead . Tested Ph which was normal Nitrate was fine and ammonia was 0.5mg also fine. So i did another water cahnge yesterday everything else looked fine the datnoid still had perfect colours aswell when looking sickly. And then this morning found my Royal knife dead aswell!!!!! No cuts or abrasions eyes are clear looks like its still alive but its not. They were my two favorite fish i still have a fire eel, sengal birchir and leppard ctenotmas (SP?) in the tank they are all looking fine aswell. robbert Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 Tank is 6ft by 2ft by 2ft. Feed them shrimp and a little bit of beef heart. Also you could try cutting them open and checking their livers, if they're yellow and fatty that means the saturated fats in the beefheart have caused a liver failuer.
