spoon
i came up with this idea today when i put my fighters into a makeshift tank while i do stuff to their other tank, i cut a piece of perspex to fit in the tank diagonally from back left corner to the right front corner this was just a short cut making a divider but it actually looks quite cool as u cant c it at all from the front of the tank till u get up really close its really awesome seeing two male bettas in a tank like that pulling faces at each other
Dixon1990
I tried it once with 2 pairs of kribs(1albino/1normal) looks cool, but the kribs dont like it.
spoon
yeah i wouldnt try it in a bare tank it would drive my bettas nuts they have plenty of plants to hide in if the other 1 gets too scary lol
Johannes Visser
Bet the top tank would be great to keep them separated I had this one male a few years ago and it has worked wonders keeping cichlid fry from mixing !
Guest
Nice setup Johannes Visser. That would be great for breeding fighters.

Simian
Tell me more about the dividers, the fry are bloody tiny how do you get enough circulation through the tank without losing fry though the holes? slots?

Johannes Visser
Tell me more about the dividers, the fry are bloody tiny how do you get enough circulation through the tank without losing fry though the holes? slots? Each compartment has a few mm gap on each at the bottom, water passes through just fine We have had this tank a few years and it work's like a dream  One heater and one pump with a spray bar across the top that provideds air and water flow to each compartment. They fry are kept together till they are a bit stronger then we move them into bigger tank for grow out!
