figure 8's actually brackish or FW?

been looking at heaps of sites and they all vary to whether they are truly FW or FW when young to brackish when older or always brackish and others say they do best in FW others say brackish. all usually useful sites so can anybody help as to possible water type that should use?

I would say Brackish,They are alot more active andgrow bigger in brackish too,and ive read they live longer in brackish aswell.

When i had fig8s we kept them in fresh and they stayed under an inch the whole time

well other places people were saying theirs did better in FW rather than brackish and have seen almost even amounts on both sides :-?

some sites selling them even have them under brackish and frwshwater :-? so now im really confused as there doesnt seem to be really any agreement

hard water is the key imo ,

yeah already hardened the water, so you reckon that has more effect than salinity?

start hard , gradually add salt , fig 8 puffers are low end brackish ,

gsp are high end brackish/marine
