snookie
What would some suitable tank mates for bumblebee cichlids be ? also best way too sex them ?
ryanjury
I kept mine with the usual malawi's peacocks, mbuna etc.. Males go jet black but there colour does change with mood males also get bigger and females stay smaller browner and keep the stripes.. These guys have a rep for being mean and I have had friends have smaller ones wipe out their other africans and they moved them on, also the males get huge my male was 25cm's+ (so a big tank is needed eventually) he was well behaved but solo I suspect if I added females he will have ran my tank. Good luck I quite liked my male before I sold him

ryanjury
They're cool fish, some think they're ugly and plain but I liked them I would mix them but keep an eye on them if you have 6 of them hopefully they will pick on each other and not your other fish and remember they get big
Adrienne
hey snookie You should know that theres no way those guys are only 8cm, I'd say 13-14cm. There wasn't a lot of room left in the bag! Thought you should prepare yourself.
