SparkyNat
Is it ok to have 2 fire eels together is the same tank? There will be plently of caves and hiding places but they are both going to be around the 20cm mark and have had another eel tank mate before

David R
The guy I bought my old 40cm fire eel off had two together, grown out from juveniles. Its generally said that they don't get on and may fight, but it could be worth a try, it wouldn't be the first time fish have broken the rules... SparkyNat
Put my 2 fire eels in together finally and have been watching for the past couple of days and expecting the worst (full on fighting). But no these 2 have decided to start sleeping in the same cave together and are happy with each other as far as i can tell. So im very happy
Foxjxa
Congrats! Maybe you can even get them to breed if they're the right gender - that would be fantastic! 8) Here's hoping they remain the best of friends, don't forget to post some pics! Afrikan
Great stuff Sparkynat.... glad they are a great mates... I used to have two tyre tracks housed together for a couple of days while tank being set up and they were hell on wheels... 8) A real fight club... I have a large fire eel and he is on his lonesome, you have given me ideas, yet hmmm knowing my luck I would end up with trouble...
