Ant N
Cool, thanks for that. Are you breeding any? Was thinking of e. yellows for colour, but these are nicer I think.
Ant N
I guess it is only the males that have the colour.?
ryanjury
Nice fish I cant decide if they're much different to the strains that I have I think they're more yellow.. And for Ant only the males will colour up like that females will be brown, you can keep a trio of peacocks and yellows together if your tank is big enough.. firenzenz
Aulonocara jacobfreibergi Or to be precise a locational Variety of A. jacobfreibergi as all are not necessarily Lemon Jakes. Am I correct in saying that these guys were labelled as A. Jacobfreibergi only and someone here has added varietal and therefore determined exact location of this fish, through photos on the net, something that many here have already determined to be a risky thing especially when dealing with peacocks. The closest facsimile to this fish is the Undu reef variety for sure, but is this a 100% ID. Lovely fish- my females are more slvery brown with yellow tinge to ventral fins It would be a real breakthrough if we started getting such exactly pinpointed fish. I hope this is the case
ryanjury
Yeah it would be awesome if we did get fish imported with exact varients.. I think these ones differ from the ones that I got off the import list I have from what I can tell 2 different strains of them, one with the white blazes that stay on the tops of the dorsal fin with mature, one where the white blazes are there whent he male is small and grow out with age, both are awesome fish and true to every pic of a jacob I have seen.. I believe these ones came from OOA so aren't the latest lot off the import list and it appears they are different maybe just from a different source when they were imported but who knows either way keep them seperate and pure and they're awesome fish
